The unpolluted brackish waters of the Bay of Bengal are home of various species of marine shrimps and demersal fish. Among marine shrimps, major species in terms of volume of yield from catches, landings and aquaculture are the giant tiger shrimps and yellow shrimps.

From the inland fisheries resources, the major yield for international marketing remains the giant river fish and Cox's Bazar Sea Foods, operating under the same management, market these products among others, in the international marketing chain for food, fish and sea foods, the former markets under Cox's Bazar brand, US FDA Code 34.

The plants and their facilities are routinely and regularly surveyed and approved by Loyda's surveyors. Products come under the routine pre-shipment inspection of the directorate of Fish Inspection & Quality Control Government of Bangladesh, reinforced by Loyda's contents, Salmonella, E. Coli, Coli Form, Weight, Grade, Appearance, Smell, etc.

The major areas of emphasis, strictly followed by the processing units, for quality control are as follows:

1. Instant preservation on catch / capture / landing / harvest.
2. Reduced transportation time to factory on catch / capture / landing / harvest.
3. Improved quality of post-catch / harvest handling and transportation.
4. Elimination of poor quality raw materials on arrival at factory and subsequent grading according to size, weight, etc.
5. 5. Early packaging and processing of raw materials

The consistency in quality checks, tests and inspection from raw materials procurement through to export make our produces reliable in matters of health and hygiene and grades, sizes and standard. In marketing of such other exportable item, fresh water fish as well, appropriate and standard quality control procedures are rigorously followed.
